THE SYMA LINE

The Syma Line is a fashion tech collection that visualizes sound by using a range of innovative techniques to give each outfit a different character. The project aims to explore the symbiosis between music, fashion and science, showcasing the evidence of how sound and frequencies affect the physical world.

FASHION AND TECHNOLOGY

The syma line is a collection with outfits for men and women. The patterns are all inspired by the sound figures of Chladni. Four different concepts with different technologies used in fashion tech as well as sound proof fabrics from “Gerriets” are the base for the collection.

Below are the first four outfits of the collection. The others are currently being developed.

Fashion Hack Day

Hackathon Contest

1. prize with an awesome team! And the outcome will also be presented at the #thesymaline event

The interactive jacket we developed creates a unique crowd experience. The appearance of the Neopixel LED’s is influenced by sound and colour sensors. The colour can be shared with other people wearing the same jacket. People will create a crowd lighting up to the same rhythm in the same colour.

Fashion Hack Day is one of the worlds most groundbreaking competition in fashiontech and wearables. Based in Berlin we gather innovators from tech and design to bring together what has been divided for much too long: Design, craftsmanship and technology.
