Knothingelse is a statement.

Special materials such as shiny, soft viscose and light, silver-plated tubes become unique jewellery and accessories. Stainless steel magnetic clasps and silver plugs complete the design.

Whether it is a necklace, bracelet, earrings, choker or other accessories – these premium designs are available in different colors and a special eye-catcher, suitable for any occasion and unique look.

The eye-catching, yet minimalist designs offer a variety of different looks within the design itself. These statements are great for basics, a simple T-shirt, crazy party outfits and elegant clothing, whether you’re a man or a woman. Each design easily adapts to any outfit, revealing perfect styling and combinations.

Statement jewellery, especially statement necklaces, are usually very heavy – Knothingelse, in contrast, is very light. That is why we added the weight of each product description in the online shop.

Inspiration

The inspiration for the statement jewelry was given to the designer by her father. As a master of event technology, he needed ropes and knots for security when working above stages at a height of 35 meters. Layla De Mue began weaving objects out of broken ropes, which over the time has evolved into a collection of high quality materials with a focus on sustainable, handcraft production.

Sustainability

Knothingelse is a sustainable jewellery and accessory collection.

The slow fashion label Layla De Mue focuses on high quality, sustainability, fair production and sophisticated design.

The carefully selected materials are sourced from Germany. The high-quality cords and silver-plated hoses are certified with Oeko-Tex-Standard 100. The jewellery is handcrafted, designed and produced in Berlin.

Each design is sold in an ecologically produced, handcrafted packaging, which is also made in Berlin.

Mission

With her start-up, the designer wants to focus on sustainable fashion and jewelery in order to set eco-friendly and concious standards, which benefits mankind and the environment in the long term. The topic of sustainability, ethical fashion and slow fashion should not remain a trend but become a fixed focus in the textile and fashion industry. National material sourcing shortens the transport routes. The local production ensures fair working conditions.

The Berlin label also pays attention to low-waste production. The minimum waste material of the silvered tubes is recycled. The small waste of the cords is kept in order to make unique art and lifestyle objects, which are auctioned for a good cause. Currently “not enough” waste has been created for this upcycling project.
